s1galston gets its very own Community Correspondent

We're very pleased to say that Stewart Mills has agreed to become Community Correspondent for s1galston.

Stewart has lived in Galston his entire life with his family and loves living here. He has seen a lot of changes through the years and understands the need locally for a noticeboard for the community where people can post their views and articles which they want to share. He is a former Community Councillor and was recently elected as Chairman of Ayrshire and Arran Health Board Hospital Patients Council.

s1galston is still an open forum for anyone who lives in the area to talk about Galston life - if you live in Galston then this site is yours to post to.

But we're delighted that Stewart has agreed to give Galston a hand by collecting and posting snippets of local news. It's a real service that Stewart is doing for Galston, and we're extremely grateful. He isn't a professional journalist, just a member of the community doing his bit.

Stewart said: "I think s1galston is an asset to the town giving an insight to what's happening in the local community by the local community. There are a lot of people contributing to the community that are not recognised and I believe s1galston is a good forum for the locals to contribute to and voice their opinions. s1galston is seen in other countries like Australia where ex-Galstonians have settled and also distant relations whose parents left many a year ago for a new life."
