Sports grant cash for Galston Primary kids
19 DecemberGalston Primary is the latest school to benefit from a grant from Ayrshire Sportsability. The school has been awarded a grant of £200 by the charity, which promotes the wellbeing of children and young people with a disability through sports.
The grant will go towards paying for boccia equipment which will be part of both curricular and extra curricular activities. It will allow the school’s children to take part in an activity that is fully inclusive.
After ten successful years Ayrshire Sportsability has decided to change to a membership-based organisation.
Individuals (aged 16 and over), schools and organisations that wish to apply for membership should contact ASA for an application form before 31 December 2011.
Ayrshire Sportsability is offering non-recurring grants of up to £200 to clubs, schools and individuals to help children and young people with physical, sensory and learning difficulties take part in sports. The next grant deadline is 5 January 2012. For more details about Ayrshire Sportsability or to apply for a grant please contact Dianne.campbell@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
