20/1/2010THE CAIRN AT NEW YEAR 2010 - Photos now added!
On New Years day for the past 12 years a group of friends have walked up to the cairn where we celebrate and toast in the New Year.
This year was the best ever, blue skies , exceptional cold and the area a winter wonder land , snow laden and fantastic views. This is a great way to clear the heads after the night before. We have a wee party up the top with smoked salmon, mince pies, Christmas cake etc and a variety of spirits to wash it all down.
Thanks to all who upgraded the cairn and put in the seats and information board. it is looking super as you can see.

- Well done Stewart. For a green view of Gallow Law Cairn taken earlier in 2009, go to ViewAt.org. The site is rated five stars as is the other monument, Hill of Barnweill near Symington. I have asked the photographer to try taking a VRQT from the top of Loudoun Hill. Spirit of Scotland and the turbines near Braveheart Cycle Route are two other unique Ayrshire tourist attractions.
